How we use cookies and similar technologies on dkcollege.co.uk — and how you can control them.

Effective date: 11 August 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how David Kingston College (David Kingston Holding B.V.) uses cookies and similar technologies in line with EU/UK GDPR and PECR. Non-essential cookies (analytics/marketing) only run with your consent via our banner.

1) What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. They can be “session” (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” (stored until they expire or you delete them). We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage and SDKs.

2) Who we are

3) How we use cookies

  • Preferences: remember choices like language or consent selections.

7) Manage cookies in your browser

You can also block/delete cookies in your browser (see help for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Blocking all cookies may impact site functionality.

8) Analytics (GA4 via GTM)

We deploy Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager. We use IP anonymisation, limit data retention, and disable Google signals unless you consent to marketing. GA4 runs only if you opt into analytics cookies.

9) Advertising & social (Meta Pixel)

If you consent to marketing cookies, we may use Meta (Facebook) Pixel and, if applicable, Google Ads tags to measure campaign performance and build audiences. For certain event data, Meta Platforms Ireland and DKC may act as joint controllers under Meta’s Controller Addendum. Meta may process data for its own purposes per its privacy policy.

10) International transfers

Some providers process data outside the EEA/UK (e.g., Google LLC; Meta Platforms, Inc.). We rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum/IDTA, plus supplementary measures.

11) Retention

Cookie data is kept for the lifetime listed above or until you clear cookies. Consent records are stored for audit (typically 6–24 months).

12) Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

We currently respect consent captured via our banner/CMP. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals and our CMP supports them, they will be treated as an opt-out for marketing (and, where configured, analytics).

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version with a new Effective date and, where appropriate, notify you on the site.
