Refunds & Cancellations Policy

How cancellations, refunds, transfers and instalments work for courses and digital content.

Effective date: 11 August 2025

This policy aligns with UK consumer law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013; Consumer Rights Act 2015) and our Terms & Conditions. It does not constitute legal advice.

1) Who we are

David Kingston College” is a trading name of David Kingston Holding B.V. (KvK 95231501, VAT NL867051085B01). Correspondence (UK): 5th Floor, 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF.

General: admin@dkcollege.co.uk

2) Your legal right to cancel (consumers)

  • Cooling-off: for distance purchases you may cancel within 14 days from contract.
  • Services starting within 14 days: if you ask us to begin, you’ll pay a proportionate amount for services supplied up to cancellation.
  • Digital content supplied immediately: if you consent to immediate access and acknowledge you’ll lose the right to cancel once supply begins, you cannot cancel after access is granted.
  • How to cancel: email admin@dkcollege.co.uk or write to our UK address. You may use the model form in our T&Cs.

3) Refunds

  • Timing & method: to your original payment method within 14 days of cancellation notice (or, if later, once any return obligations are verified).
  • Proportionate deduction: if services started within 14 days at your request, we deduct a fair amount for what you’ve used; irrecoverable third-party fees (e.g., exam/registration) may be excluded from refund where paid.
  • Outside cooling-off: goodwill refunds (if any) follow the course-specific terms shown at checkout or on the course page.

4) Transfers, deferrals & substitutions

  • Transfers/deferrals: at our discretion and subject to availability; fees or price differences may apply.
  • Substitutions (B2B): a like-for-like attendee may replace the original before the start date if eligibility is met.

5) Non-attendance & partial attendance

No-shows and partial attendance do not create a right to a refund.

6) Instalments & late/missed payments

  • Pay instalments on agreed dates. We may suspend access, withhold certificates, and/or refer to collections after reasonable notice.

7) Course changes/cancellation by us

  • We may make non-material changes. If we make a material change or cancel, we’ll offer a transfer or a full refund of fees paid for the affected course.

8) Business customers (B2B)

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, B2B bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable after acceptance. Consumer cooling-off rights do not apply to B2B contracts.
